Thursday 19 January 2023, 7-9pm (GMT)

This is the third in our 4-part winter discussion series exploring some of the key themes in the Agriculture Course lectures which form the foundations of Biodynamics. In this webinar participants will be able to make first steps into understanding the use and purpose of the Biodynamic preparations as they are presented in the agriculture course. The way the different preparations' ingredients, treatments and use are described in the lectures will be discussed. This theme relates to lectures 4, 5 and 6.
In addition to the webinar, you will have access to online resources exploring the topic. To get the most out of the discussion, we suggest that participants read the relevant lectures from Rudolf Steiner's Agriculture Course ahead of the webinar. If you don't have a copy of the Agriculture course you can purchase through the Biodynamic Association.

Discussion Contributors

Claire Hattersley

Claire Hattersley has worked in Weleda UK’s 13 acre Demeter certified garden for over 20 years, growing and processing medicinal herbs. Throughout this time she’s also been making and applying the preparations and is really keen to make them more accessible and understandable to all growers.

Harry Astley

Harry began his career as a chef, cooking in London and Sydney before learning how to grow food. He has been a biodynamic grower for 16 years, at Fern Verrow and Waltham Place. He strongly believes that working with the preparations not only benefits the earth, but also helps us to become more sensitive and aware as gardeners. Biodynamics offers many solutions to the ecological problems we are all involved in.
